Australia's Business Innovation and Investment visa (subclass 188/888) is the primary pathway for entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners seeking to establish or develop a business in Australia, or to make a significant financial investment in the country. It is a two-stage programme: applicants first receive a temporary visa (subclass 188) and, after meeting the programme's business or investment requirements, transition to permanent residency (subclass 888).

AUD 5,000,000Investment of AUD 5 million in complying significant investments: minimum 10% in venture capital or private equity, minimum 30% in emerging companies, and the balance in a managed fund or listed equities.
