Program Overview
Ireland's Immigrant Investor Programme (IIP) is one of the most strategically valuable investor residency programmes in Europe, offering a uniquely powerful combination that no other EU programme can match: permanent residency after just two years, a path to an Irish EU passport after five years, and — through Ireland's membership of both the EU and the Common Travel Area — simultaneous visa-free access to both the European Union single market and the United Kingdom.

While Brexit severed the UK from the EU for most purposes, Irish citizens retain full rights in both jurisdictions under the Common Travel Area agreement that predates EU membership. Investment Fund
€1,000,000Investment of at least €1 million in an approved Irish Collective Asset-management Vehicle (ICAV) or qualifying investment fund for a minimum of three years.
Endowment
€500,000Non-refundable endowment of at least €500,000 to a project of public benefit in the arts, education, health, or sport in Ireland. The lowest investment threshold for EU permanent residency.
Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT)
€2,000,000Investment of at least €2 million in an Irish Real Estate Investment Trust listed on the Irish Stock Exchange, held for a minimum of three years.
